Mud Auction

I went to my first “mud auction” yesterday in Lancaster County, PA.  There are huge tents full of tools, furniture, crafts, you name it.  They auction off hand-made Amish quilts, have trailers filled with plants, flowers, and shrubs.

I had a blast & rescued this little gem.  My mom thought I was a bit crazy for bidding on it, but just wait till it’s done!  It is screaming for my help, don’t you think??  I can’t wait to get rid of those pink diamonds – it’s going to be so cute!!

  1. I’m so jealous that I didn’t know about this! I live in Baltimore and could easily have run up. I am new to refurbishing and loving it!! Just addicted to flea markets, Goodwill and thrift stores!! I love the items you have recreated! Do you know if the Mud Auction is once a year or more often?? Tracy

    • Thank you! It was so cool & I can’t wait to go to another one! This particular one was huge and I think it is just once in the spring and once in the fall. I think there are smaller ones in different places in PA every weekend through June…..but I don’t really know where they are yet. I gotta look into it!! You can get some good deals, that’s for sure 🙂
