For as long as I can remember, I have loved to paint – pictures, walls, furniture, you name it. If it can be painted, I will do it. I am pretty sure this gene comes from my Dad. When I was growing up, my parents always had a project going on in our home. Whether it was building me a daybed from scratch when I was a little girl (with a heart carved in the back ♥), installing hardwood floors, or deciding to build an addition on to the family room, my dad has never been afraid to tackle anything. If it is something he hasn’t done before, so what! He’ll figure it out along the way & doesn’t worry about ‘messing up.’ This is the attitude I hope to always have. If I don’t try something, I won’t know if I can do it! Lucky for me, my dad is just a few minutes up the road and a phone call away when I need help (or need something fixed!)
I am the luckiest mother to three happy & healthy children. They are all such creative little people & there are not many days when they aren’t drawing or painting something. “Yes, you can pour paint on the basement storage room floor and spread it out with your feet!” I love being a stay-at-home mom, but it also gives me plenty of time to see all of the things that I need want to change around the house. I have an amazing husband who puts up with all of my craziness. He never knows what he will find when he comes home. “I thought the dining room was red when I left for work this morning?!” (In 2005, I had to have a red dining room like on Will & Grace….not so much by 2007)
I love to rearrange the furniture in my home. There is something about it that makes me happy; makes the room feel *new* again. I love to re-purpose things. I keep magazines in a flower pot (that was my Mommom’s idea.) I love to paint the walls, and then re-paint when I am tired of it.
I am most passionate about taking a neglected or old piece of furniture and giving it new life. This website will show pieces of furniture that I have refinished and items I have available for purchase as well. I can also work with your existing piece of furniture and paint it in the color of your choice.
Thanks so much for reading & checking out my website.

Amy, i want to find a bedroom dresser. It’s not clear what you still have for sale? Can you identifiy pieces left..
Thanks!
Sorry about that – I only have the big blue buffet left (it could be used as a dresser – it has 4 drawers and lots of storage at the bottom), and the little blue desk that you can see in the pictures from the art show.
I do have a dresser that I am going to be working on soon. It looks very similar to the green dresser that is in my portfolio. (vintage looking – long with 9 drawers) If you are interested in that, I can send you pics of what it looks like now, and paint it whatever color you want. 🙂
